The window box saga

A couple of weeks ago I ordered these self watering window boxes for the three front windows of my apartment. I think it's a great idea to have the reservoir that will keep them not-to-wet and not let them get too dry...



However now they are in limbo, sitting on top of the stoop roof, because I can't figure out the hanging brackets! I assumed it would be some genius balancing thing where the bracket would latch onto my window frame or something, but it seems there is drilling involved, and that must mean anchors too, right? Luckily the brackets were made in Germany, so the directions are not in English... The website says "Versatile brackets (included) allow installation in minutes" Damnit! This will be one of my big goals for the weekend!
